Sprouse and Oliverio)
Congratulating the 2001 Spirit of Community Award winners.

Whereas, Megan Burrough of Glendale, Marshall County, was
selected for national recognition by receiving the 2001 Prudential
Spirit of Community Award; and

Whereas, This prestigious award, in partnership with the
National Association of Secondary School Principals, honors young
volunteers across America who have demonstrated an extraordinary
commitment to serving their communities; and

Whereas, The success of the State of West Virginia, the
strength of our communities and the overall vitality of American
society depends, in great measure, upon the dedication of young
people like Megan Burrough who use their considerable talents and
resources to serve others; therefore, be it

Resolved by the Senate:

That the Senate hereby congratulates Megan Burrough on her
selection as a recipient of the 2001 Prudential Spirit of Community
Award; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Senate commends Megan Burrough on her outstanding record of volunteer service, peer leadership and
community spirit; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward
a copy of this resolution to Megan Burrough, the 2001 Prudential
Spirit of Community Award winner.
